Q: What are the ingredients of Bactol®?

The active ingredient in Bactol ® is 70% v/v ethanol, as recommended by WHO.

Q: What product registrations does Whiteley have?

Whiteley is ISO9001 accredited and is licensed by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) to manufacture therapeutic goods.

Q: Do I need gloves to use Viraclean®?

It is recommended to use nitrile gloves or similar to prevent skin contact when using any disinfectant or detergent.

VIRACLEAN is a hospital-grade disinfectant that is proven to kill a wide range of bacteria and viruses, including coronaviruses such as SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19), influenza virus, hepatitis B group virus, VRE, MRSA and more.

Q: Where do I find details on how to store my products?

Every product has storage instructions on the label, generally on the back panel.

If a product has an expiry date it will be printed on the packaging

Q: What is difference between a household or commercial grade disinfectant, an instrument grade disinfectant and a hospital grade disinfectant?

"Hospital grade disinfectant" means a disinfectant that is suitable for general purpose disinfection of building and fitting surfaces, in premises used for investigation and treatment of injury, ailment or disease (such as GP or dental clinics), or for procedures carried out involving penetration of the skin (such as piercing or tattoo studios). Hospital grade disinfectants are not suitable for use on medical devices.

“Instrument grade disinfectant” means a disinfectant that is suitable for use in disinfecting medical devices. They are divided into high, intermediate, and low-level depending on the risk of the device being disinfected. Some instrument grade disinfectants are also suitable for use on surfaces.

"Household/Commercial grade disinfectant" means a disinfectant that is suitable for general purpose disinfection of building or fitting surfaces, and for other purposes, in premises or involving procedures other than those specified for a hospital or instrument grade disinfectant.
